The atmosphere at Bower was welcoming, with incredibly friendly staff who went above and beyond to assist. The meals were exceptional, particularly the belly pork, which was the best I’ve had in a long time. The beer selection was great, and the location was ideal with a pleasant outside seating area, making it perfect for unwinding after a long day of work.

The bathroom lacked sufficient shelving for toiletries and the bedroom could benefit from more space.

I had the cajun chicken with sweet potato fries and it blew my mind. The atmosphere was warm and cute, like coming home after a long day.

Good hotel with great amenities like wi-fi, free parking, and a cute bar area. The staff once helped me with my suitcases. I highly recommend trying the delicious food!

Some rooms too small for comfort!!! Lighting inadequate and poor electrical socket functionality needs attention!!! Shower door issue causing leaks is a safety hazard!!! Cooked food odors persist in the rooms!!!

Had a fantastic time! The homemade chips were delicious, and the traditional pub atmosphere was so cozy. Plus, the vegan dinner options exceeded our expectations! Would definitely come back!

my partner and I loved how close we were to the ravenglass & eskdale railway for a scenic stroll. Enjoyed walking through the beautiful gardens at muncaster castle, both just a short drive away. the atmosphere was so warm and inviting, making it a great choice for anyone looking to unwind after a day of exploring.

The bower is fantastic for dog lovers. they even offered treats for my two dogs! the staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. the cozy bar with a log fire was a highlight, and the food was delicious with plenty of options. great access to lovely walks nearby and even a steam train station!

I enjoyed the food, particularly the lamb Sunday roast, which was cooked to perfection and accompanied by smooth gravy. the room could use a bit of updating, as it felt slightly worn in some areas. Noise from other guests at night disrupted my sleep a little. Despite these issues, I found the staff incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. the location is perfect for enjoying the Lake District's beauty and the pub's great vibe.
